Butterflyfish
Butterflyfish are small, narrow fish found in warm tropical waters near coral reefs. Many have bright colors with extravagant patterns.
There are over 100 species of Butterflyfish found in the oceans. The average size of a Butterfly fish ranges from 4 to 8 inches and they can live up to 10 years in captivity. Some are demanding fish with many feeding and water requirements while others are much easier to care for.
Butterflyfish are omnivores and most feed on coral and plankton during the day. They should be housed in a well-established tank with lots of swimming area and live rock to thrive.
