Description
The Flame Scallop has brilliant red tentacles emerging out of a beige colored shell.
The Flame Scallop can be kept in smaller tanks but requires plenty of live rock with suitable ledges and crevices. Maintain above average water conditions in a well-established reef environment. Low light is recommended. Should not be kept with sea stars and crabs, some aggressive fish may nip at them.
The flame scallop is a specialized filter feeder and requires dosing of phytoplankton, and other organic foods.
