The Emerald Crab is a squatty little crab with a dull lime green color body. Fine hairs cover its legs. It has two large pinchers.
The Emerald Crab is primarily a mild manner herbivore and will eat all forms of algae, but will scavenge most anything it can get its greedy pinchers on. The Emerald Crab may be shy when first introduced. Keep one or more with plenty of live rock shelter and grazing. House with smaller peaceful fish.
Crabs are aggressive scavengers and will leave no stone unturned to seek food. Supplement their diet with algae, small meaty foods and pellet foods such as Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets.
