Description
The Sponge Crab is a stocky crab with a brownish tan body and two large pinchers. What makes the Sponge Crab interesting is that it carries a sponge upon its back for camouflage and protection.
The Sponge Crab is an active night feeder and will help scavenge uneaten food and waste. Keep in a friendly fish system with plenty of live rock with good hiding places.
Crabs are aggressive scavengers and will leave no stone unturned to seek food. Supplement their diet with algae, small meaty foods and pellet foods such as Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets.
