The Skunk Cleaner Shrimp or Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp has a tan outer shell with a pair of red bands running horizontally down its back with a white band in the center.
The Skunk Cleaner Shrimp is valuable for cleaning parasites from fish. The Skunk Cleaner Shrimp will establish a location in the tank for a detail cleaning shop; then will orchestrate its graceful antennas to welcome its new customers. Best kept in pairs, it’s a great addition to most tanks expecially those that house Tangs; avoid housing with dottybacks, triggers, puffers, hawkfish or wrasses. Acclimate very slowly and use iodine moderately.
Marine shrimp are very resourceful in finding their own food but it will be necessary to supplementing their diet with small food pellets and flake food; also include minced meaty foods.
