Description
The Maculosus Angelfish is also known as the Yellowbar Angelfish or Map Angelfish. A small juvenile will have a blue body with white vertical bands. Large adults have a blue body with a yellow boomerang-shaped band in the center of the body.
The Maculosus Angelfish is very hardy and does extremely well in captivity. Keep only one Masculosus Angelfish per tank with semi-aggressive tank mates in a larger systems with plenty of live rock for grazing. Will nip at corals and small invertebrates in the tank.
Feed a variety of vitamin-enriched foods; include marine algae and meaty foods as part of the diet. Consider Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets to provide the necessary protein and vitamins angelfish need.
