The Tricolor Anthias or Red Fairy Anthias has a lightly shaded orange body with a faint to prominent red bar at the midsection and a pale underside. Red accents are noticeable on the dorsal and caudal fin; Females are marked with a red accent only on the caudal fin.
The Tricolor Anthias can be housed in a reef or peaceful fish-only tank. Keep single or in small groups in much larger tanks with ample swimming area. Have plenty of live rock with good shelter areas.
Feed your anthias a varied diet, including small meaty frozen food such as mysis and enriched brine shrimp. Try to transition your anthias to Formula One Ocean Nutrition Small Pellets and Flakes for a healthy diet in order to maintain its brilliant colors.
