Description
The Blue Stripe Butterflyfish has a vivid yellow body with slanted horizontal blue strips that run down towards the head. There is a black spot at the upper base of the caudal fin.
The Blue Stripe Butterfly Fish is Found in abundance in the Hawaiian waters, this interesting fish will eat most foods offered when comfortable in its new environment. Can be kept in pairs if added simultaneously. Keep with other peaceful fish to prevent stress. Have lots of good swimming area and live rock for grazing and shelter. Will nip at corals and invertebrates and is not advisable for a reef tank.
The Blue Stripe Butterflyfish may lose its beautiful color pattern when stressed or during low light.
To initiate feeding, offer a variety of small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp and cyclopeeze. Train your butterflyfish to eat Formula One Small Pellets or Flakes
