The Social Fairy Wrasse or Longfin Fairy Wrasse from Sri Lanka has a reddish orange blend on the upper half of the body and white on its underside. Its dorsal fin is rather unique with one spiking fin leading the column.
The Social Fairy Wrasse are hardy fish for their size and perfect for a reef environment and will not harm invertebrates. One male can be housed with several females if introduced simultaneously. May be shy when first introduced and hide, this will be temporary. Have plenty of live rock and lots of good hiding places and thick sandy substrate. The Social Fairy Wrasse is known for jumping; make sure you have a snug lid on the aquarium.
The wrasse will consume a wide variety of foods. Feed vitamin enriched frozen and dry foods. Train your wrasse to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellet Food for a healthy diet.
