The Vampire Grouper or is a medium sized grouper that has reddish brown body with iridescent blue spots throughout. The large powerful tail fin is slightly shaded yellow.
The Vampire Grouper with its aggressive posture is very hardy and has an ever-increasing appetite. The Vampire Grouper should be kept with larger aggressive fish and will outgrow smaller tanks ; provide a large system with good shelter. They will eat anything that will fit into their mouth including smaller fish and crustaceans. Use feeding stick to feed due to their quickness and very sharp teeth.
