The Freckled Hawkfish is also called the Forster's Hawkfish or Blackside Hawkfish. It has various color shades during its lifetime but is usually a two-tone with a white bottom half and an orange to red top half and tiny black and red spots around its head.
It is a very territorial and aggressive, it should be kept with other fish that can hold their own. Keep only one per tank. Provide plenty of live rock to inhabit. The Freckled Hawkfish is highly predatory and will eat small fish and most invertebrates.
Most hawkfish will eat a variety of frozen meaty foods. Try to train your hawkish to eat Ocean Nutrition Pellets for a healthy diet.
