The Geometric Pygmy Hawkfish or Hi Fin Perchlet has a pale white body splotched in orangish red patterns with an unusual pale white erect dorsal fin. This Perchlet is actually a member of the anthias family, however it resembles a hawkfish.
The Geometric Pygmy Hawkfish is relativity hardy and a good candidate for a reef tank. Keep as the only bottom feeder in smaller tanks. Have plenty of live rock and thick sandy substrate. Larger individual maybe a threat to smaller invertebrates.
The Geometric Pygmy Hawkfish will feed on small meaty foods such as mysis and brine shrimp. Try training your Pygmy to eat Ocean Nutrition Formula One Small Pellets for a healthy diet.
