The Yellow Rabbitfish known as the Blue Spotted or Coral Rabbitfish has a golden yellow oval body. It will have a series of tiny blue spots on the body as the fish matures.
The Golden Rabbitfish is a peaceful fish and great for controlling hair algae, but may nip at some types of soft coral, and not ideal for reef tanks. The Golden Rabbitfish can be housed with all types of fish because more aggressive fish will fear the venomous dorsal spines. In the wild they will swim in pairs and this can be achieved in the home aquarium as well, just be sure same species of rabbitfish are introduced simultaneously in a larger aquarium. Provide plenty of live rock for shelter and grazing.
Rabbitfish eat mostly vegetable matter and some small meaty foods. Try feeding your rabbitfish Ocean Nutrition pellets for a healthy diet.
