The Double Bar Rabbitfsh or Barred Spinefoot Rabbitfish has a white body color with yellow accents below the dorsal fin running down to the tail fin. Its face, unlike its close relative the foxface, is slightly sloped and the fish has a rounder body with two slanted black bands down its head.
The Double Bar is a peaceful fish. It can be housed with all types of fish because more aggressive fish will fear the venomous dorsal spines. In the wild they swim in pairs and this can also be achieved in the home aquarium as well, just be sure same species of rabbitfish are introduced simultaneously in a larger aquarium. Provide plenty of live rock for shelter and grazing. May nip at some types of soft coral; not ideal for reef tanks.
Rabbitfish eat mostly vegetable matter and some small meaty foods. Try feeding your rabbitfish Ocean Nutrition pellets for a healthy diet.
