The Hawaiian Squirrelfish or Whitetip Squirrelfish has a red torpedo-shaped body with white accents outlining the fins. It has large alert eyes used for feeding.
It is a nocturnal fish and will hide mostly in the day. Provide plenty of good hiding places. It can be an aggressive eater and will only eat food moving in the water. Can be kept in small groups in larger tanks. Provide good water movement. Will eat smaller fish and invertebrates.
They well eat a wide variety of meaty foods including frozen shrimp and chopped squid. Train your Squirrelfish to eat Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets on a regular basis for good nutrition.
