The Naso Tang also called Orangespine Unicornfish is a favorite among aquarists. This handsome fish has a light gray to blue body with a long black dorsal fin, a yellow patch on its forehead, and orange lips.
The Naso Tang is a hardy fish once it is comfortable in its new environment. The Naso Tang will eat most all foods and get along with its tank mates. It is strong and very fast, capable of jumping out of an open aquarium. The Naso Tang will grow large, so have plenty of available swimming space.
Have plenty of live rock in your tank. Tangs will graze on the live rock and it will provide necessary hiding areas and swim pass-throughs.
Tangs will eat just about all fish foods; Ocean Nutrition Pellets are a perfect diet. Feed tangs with plenty of marine-based seaweed, as this will keep them healthy. Try putting seaweed on a veggie clip, or break into small pieces and feed 2-3 times per week. Ocean Nutrition Seaweed contains garlic which helps the immune system in these colorful fish.
