The Black Leopard Wrasse, also known as the Yellowspotted Wrasse has a blackish gray body with tiny iridescent shaded blue and yellow spots. This is a peaceful fish perfect for a reef tank.
It is only recommended for an expert aquarist to provide it with the necessary environment to thrive. A refugium is a benefit for the population of copepods and other small organisms needed for the wrasse to feed on. Live feeder shrimp is always a good idea then transition to healthy prepared foods. More than one can be added simultaneously to the tank. Have lots of good hiding places and thick sandy substrate. May eat smaller invertebrates.
